Position Overview
The School Facilities Technician is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position with a 12‑month work schedule, beginning July 1. Working hours are 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, subject to change as needed. The Technician reports to the Director of Facilities and Safety. The role maintains a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors on a dedicated classical school campus.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work with site personnel to ensure daily cleaning tasks are performed.
- Maintain and use janitorial equipment safely and properly, following instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Dust and clean hard surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors—including stairs, hallways, and commons areas.
- Clean and vacuum carpets.
- Empty all trash receptacles, replace liners, and place trash in the dumpster.
- Wipe down doors and clean glass as applicable.
- Respond to facilities emergency and on‑call situations as directed.
- Participate in periodic special facility team projects.
- Restock supplies.
- Perform other functions as assigned to ensure effective, safe, and smooth school operations.
- Proven experience in janitorial solutions, preferably in education or commercial settings.
- Ability to self‑manage and work independently, while performing each essential duty beyond satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Commitment to completing work daily to support customer operations.

Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits for full‑time employees include health benefits, paid vacation, personal days, paid holidays, and a SERS retirement plan with employer contribution. Children receive enrollment priority if a parent is a full‑time employee at the time of enrollment. All employees are required to pass background checks.
