2731 – CUSTODIAN III – 210‑DAY EMPLOYMENT TERM (NIGHT SHIFT) –

The custodian maintains county buildings in a state of operating excellence to ensure no disruptions to educational programs. Duties include custodial tasks, minor repairs, and supervision by the building administrator or head custodian.

• Additional duties may be assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment, and facilities.
• Clean classrooms, offices, libraries, restrooms, and common areas, including chalkboards, dusting, emptying trash receptacles, vacuuming, and washing windows.
• Scrub, mop, disinfect, and polish hard‑surfaces in restrooms, cafeterias, hallways, and classrooms as required.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
• Immediately report vandalism or other incidents to supervisor.
• Assume responsibility for building security: lock doors and windows, and turn off lights as needed before leaving at night.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment and inform the head custodian of needs in advance to avoid hindering custodial duties.
• Comply with County policies.
