Maintenance Custodian Associate

As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club you will help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will maintain parking lots, restrooms, floors, and other facilities, working on your feet throughout the shift. A positive attitude and strong work ethic help create the first and last impression our members remember.

• Inspect the facility for safety and cleanliness, performing safety sweeps and reporting hazards to Management.
• Clean all areas, including floors, windows, restrooms and trash receptacles, using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Operate floor scrubbers, dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them properly and placing orders when supplies are low.
• Follow forklift spotting procedures and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Respond promptly to spills and other time‑critical maintenance tasks.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Experience in facility maintenance or janitorial work.
• Ability to work physically demanding environments and remain on your feet full shift.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Capability to adapt quickly to changing work scenarios.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
