Job Overview
Manages daily operations of the department responsible for providing environmental services, ensuring alignment of operations with organizational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Associate's degree.
- Five years of housekeeping experience with three years of previous supervisory duties.
- Establish and maintain high expectations for cleanliness and ensure all job assignments are completed while conforming to standards.
- Develop housekeeping staff through hiring, training, performance management, employee relations, and coaching.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning of the building to maintain high expectations for facility cleanliness.
- Investigate and address escalated complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and internal departments.
- Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers, etc.
- Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
- Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids and different types of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment.
- Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
Job Description
This position covers two WVUM properties;
Summersville Regional Medical Center and Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Frequent travel between locations required. Mileage will be paid.
