The Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for all employees and visitors. This position involves performing various cleaning tasks, handling waste disposal, and maintaining the overall appearance of the building.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are dirt-free.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins, disposing of waste appropriately.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Restock cleaning supplies and bathroom amenities as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including sidewalks and entrances, to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as required by supervisor.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Interacts with the entire SSC while working around the facility.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Trade school
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of janitor experience
Preferred Experience: 3-4 years of janitor experience

Conditions:

Monday – Friday, 8‑hour day in office setting

• Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Grasping, gripping, fine manipulation.
• Pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing on a regular basis.
• Carrying, sitting, walking, standing, and lifting above shoulder level on a regular basis.
