Accounting Manager

Location: Westchester (Hybrid 3x per week in office)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire

Pay Range: $120,000-$140,000 + bonus

• Own the accounting and financial reporting process for a portfolio of real estate investment entities.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including operating results, balance sheet activity, cash flow reporting, and management reporting packages.
• Perform detailed account analyses, prepare supporting schedules, and review complex journal entries and reconciliations.
• Monitor portfolio performance by investigating monthly operating fluctuations and explaining significant variances to management.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting, including intercompany activity and elimination adjustments where applicable.
• Partner with internal teams to coordinate cash management, liquidity planning, and intercompany funding activities.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact during quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits.
• Work closely with the tax function to provide information needed for tax reporting, entity compliance, and regulatory filings.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting quality.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on transactions affecting the assigned portfolio and participate in department-wide initiatives and special projects.
