We're looking for a motivated Stormwater & Municipal Engineer to join a growing municipal consulting firm serving communities throughout the Chicagoland area. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to build a long-term career while working on impactful municipal infrastructure and water resources projects.
Responsibilities- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for sanitary, stormwater, and combined sewer systems using PCSWMM, HEC-HMS
, or similar software. - Lead municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway, drainage, sanitary sewer, and water distribution improvements.
- Develop engineering designs and ensure high-quality project deliverables.
- Prepare Location Drainage Studies and Drainage Technical Memorandums for state and federally funded projects.
- Collaborate with municipal clients, agencies, and project stakeholders from planning through construction.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 2–10 years of experience in municipal engineering and/or water resources.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- PCSWMM
- HEC-HMS
- HydroCAD
- Hydro Flow
- Open Roads
- ArcGIS
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
