The Global Category Manager, Capital & COE, will be responsible for Global Capital Procurement in all aspects associated with Ingredion’s global category spend to a value of ~$300M or more, by providing input across categories, suppliers, and sourcing events as needed.
This role will require a candidate with the ability to work closely, yet remotely, with Regional and Global procurement teams regarding the utilization of strategies and techniques within the operating environment.

- Delivering on Ingredion’s capital plan and execution of sourcing events to reduce cost, drive adherence to schedule, and improve service and quality levels.
- Developing, executing, and evaluating competitive bids, including providing recommendations to business partners based on operational best practices
- Guiding the business through the sourcing process, and providing insights, advice, and resources (e.g., tools and processes)
- Develop a centralized category management approach and category strategies for key equipment
- Build and develop talent that directly reports to the global category manager
- Supporting the business in performing performance, risk, and relationship reviews at the supplier level
- Build partnerships with front-line business stakeholders
- Drive adherence in use of the company’s procurement technology platforms such as SAP and Power Steering.
- Drive adherence to CAPEX procurement policies
- Drive Center of Excellence for Global CAPEX:
Improve templates for contracting, RFx, supplier qualification process, drive supplier performance scorecards and improve overall global CAPEX standardization - This role will require a candidate with the ability to work closely, yet remotely, with regional procurement teams regarding the utilization of strategies and techniques within the operating environment.
- Owning analysis to identify additional levers at global & local scale
- Collaborating with local category managers to support strategy execution in the region/country
- Support regional CAPEX labor market including engineering services
