Role OverviewUnder direction from the Cosmetics Selling Manager, the Beauty Advisor provides outstanding customer service, builds sales volumes for individual and vendor lines, and maintains strong customer relationships. The role includes training participation, pre‑booked facial consultation events, and proficient closing of retail sales.
Responsibilities- Model all Neiman Marcus Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, and Thank).
- Achieve and exceed individual and vendor line sales goals, event sales goals, and department daily/monthly sales goals.
- Create and develop excellent customer relationships as the brand expert and department representative.
- Act as a liaison between Neiman Marcus and the designated Account Executive.
- Utilize Neiman Marcus’s online clienteling tool to record and maintain client information and preferences.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience from approach, through application, to closing the sale and follow‑up.
- Maintain counter standards by ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming selling area.
- Minimum 1 year retail experience, preferably in a customer‑focused cosmetics environment.
- Demonstrated successful sales experience with an ability to exceed quota.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment requiring high multitasking with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in learning and using Neiman Marcus’s online clienteling tools and proprietary software.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and a positive work environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others to drive business success.
- Sound business judgment and organizational ability.
- Professional make‑up and treatment consultation and application skills.
