Compensation

Compensation for this position is based solely on commission. We offer competitive pay and benefits, 401(k) match, 10 holidays, PTO, and volunteer time off.

Responsibilities
  • Originating residential mortgage loans that meet Silverton’s guidelines.
  • Maintaining active Mortgage Loan Originator licensure and keeping current information in the National Mortgage Licensing System.
  • Abiding by Silverton’s company‑specific compliance policies, including Anti‑Money Laundering, Safeguard Governance, Regulation Z, Red Flag, RESPA, and other applicable policies.
  • Meeting production guidelines established by the Branch Manager.
  • Handling the loan file: generating quotes, completing applications, providing required disclosures, collecting documentation, and preparing files for underwriting.
  • Communicating the loan process to borrowers, fully describing borrower responsibilities during the loan application and loan term.
  • Verifying borrower information, completing application reviews, and preparing files for underwriting and processing.
  • Submitting files into processing and ensuring all conditions are met.
  • Self‑managing time and structuring work hours to stay available to customers and support staff.
  • Generating own leads; building a business primarily through referrals from existing customers and contacts.
Qualifications
  • Meet and comply with all requirements for Mortgage Loan Originators set forth in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of residential mortgage origination experience.
  • Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months.
  • Established relationships with local referral networks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using both verbal and written communication across a variety of audiences.
  • Strong computer skills, experience utilizing laptop technology and loan originator software.
  • Excellent time management skills.
