HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- High School diploma, HVAC trade school certificate, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years proven experience in HVAC equipment and controls maintenance.
- Current EPA refrigerant handling universal certification.
- Safe working knowledge of electricity related to control component connections, motor connections, and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC trade tools, including multimeters, ammeters, refrigerant charging equipment, airflow hoods, pressure testers, hand tools, and power tools.
- Knowledge of Fire Life Safety code and Building Life Safety code.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Some computer skills for use of the work‑order system, email, text, and document production.
- Valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory DMV driving record.
Monday‑Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Physical DemandsEmployees must sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push up to 50lb., stoop, kneel, reach high and low, and perform finger movement, speaking, listening, and visual tasks. Additional requirements include use of depth perception.
Work EnvironmentWork performed in normal indoor conditions, away from hazardous materials. Noise, temperature, and lighting are within typical workplace tolerances.
Mental DemandsRequires frequent calculation, interrupted work, multitasking, sustained concentration, use of reasoning, judgment, and resourcefulness.
