Overview

Chicago Highlands Club is seeking a motivated Assistant Golf Professional or PGA PGM Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. This role offers a comprehensive private club experience with meaningful responsibility and hands‑on learning in all facets of golf operations.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to daily operations, staff leadership, tournament administration, merchandising strategy, and instructional development while working closely with senior PGA Professionals in a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment.

• PGA Associate in good standing or current PGA PGM Student.
• 0‑2 years of golf operations experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Service‑oriented mindset with a desire to learn.
• Interest in teaching and player development.
• Willingness to develop retail and merchandising knowledge.

• Assist in the execution of all daily golf operations.
• Support supervision and training of Outside Services staff to ensure a high level of service and hospitality.
• Assist with golf shop operations, including member and guest check‑in procedures.
• Maintain first tee presence and assist in managing pace of play.
• Support tournament operations, including event setup, scoring, and administration.
• Assist with merchandising efforts, including product displays, inventory organization, and new product presentation.
• Provide retail support and engage members with product knowledge.
• Conduct individual and group instruction as appropriate.
• Dedicate one full workday per week to instructional development alongside senior staff.
• Assist with junior golf programming and member clinics.
• Maintain professionalism and visibility throughout the clubhouse and golf course.
• Uphold the service standards and culture of Chicago Highlands Club.
