Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.

Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.

Clean spills, trash inside the store and parking lot, and all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.

Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.

Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product questions throughout the store.

Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Retail experience is preferred but not required.
