Janitor Lead

Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time Janitor Lead positions at Westfield Washington Schools. The role includes administrative tasks, training custodial associates, and overseeing overall training activities and cleaning operations. Prior supervisory experience is required; bilingual language skills are a plus. Fixed pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Location:

Westfield Washington Schools, 18250 North Union Street, Westfield, IN 46074 (Openings at other district sites available). The schedule is full‑time; shift days may vary from 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Full and part‑time options are available with flexible scheduling to meet most needs.

• Conduct classroom and hands‑on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conduct one‑on‑one training as needed.
• Update and provide training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Copy training material, revise as needed, and perform administrative tasks as requested.
• Provide feedback on new associates during orientation and review trainee records for compliance.
• Recommend disciplinary action to the training coordinator when appropriate.
• Perform monthly safety performance reviews to ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management and other applicable standards.
• Conduct walk‑through building inspections as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior supervisory experience in a custodial or facilities role.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and heavy commercial cleaning equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance and company policies.
