Pallet Sorter

Position Overview

As a Pallet Sorter, you will empty return trailers from store deliveries of empty pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.

Earn $20.00 per hour + $2.00 freezer premium ($22.00 start rate).
Day

Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Schedule:

TBD, Sunday and Friday.

• Sort through returned packaging and move to the proper place in the warehouse.
• Unload returned trailer-truck's cargo hold of returned pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.
• Sort pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination.
• Record data regarding amount and type of returned packaging.
• Load packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor.
• Clean the work area at the end of each shift.

• Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift.
• Walk between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequent lifting of product weighing between 1 and 60 lbs., or more.
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools.
