Slot Cleaner

Position Overview

Keep our communities fed. As a Slot Cleaner, you will act as sanitation support for the Warehouse team and play a primary role in ensuring the warehouse complies with all food‑safety handling requirements.

Earn $20.00 per hour plus $2.00 freezer pay (Total: $22.00 per hour). 1st shift – schedule to be determined.

61 Medeiros Way, Westfield, MA 01085.

• Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots.
• Clean spills, including damaged product, oil, grease, broken glass, and other substances.
• Use sawdust, brooms, mops, or shovels as needed.
• Pull product out of slots with an electric pallet jack, clean the slot with cleaning supplies and an electric scrubber, and replace product.
• Occasionally clean break areas and offices, empty trash cans, clean windows, vacuum carpeted offices, collect paper, and empty boxes.
• Clean and maintain warehouse restrooms using disinfecting products.
• Clean fire extinguishers and ensure lights are turned off and doors are locked when appropriate.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Continuously stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of the shift.
• Walk 6‑12 miles per day on various surfaces (concrete, tile, carpet, etc.).
• Lift product weighing 1–60 lbs or more, both from the floor and overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Safe handling of sharp objects and box‑cutting tools.
• Work in refrigerated conditions ranging from about –20° to 0°.

• Attendance and general equivalency diploma or high school diploma.
• Initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and values alignment.
• Willingness to work a 1st shift.
• Acceptable physical fitness to meet the demands described above.
