Location:
Westfield, MA, United States. Full-time position.
Under routine supervision, this position ensures parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs, manages inventory, performs audits, and processes core and warranty returns. May work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights and weekends; full-time attendance required.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair.
- Observe all company safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mentor and train other shop personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, well-ordered work environment free of trash and hazards.
- Retain and ship parts per the Company’s Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures.
- Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence, maintaining records, and filing.
- Maintain JBHT information systems regarding parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage.
- Ensure each unit has the required inventory of equipment to determine usability and replacement of non-functional equipment.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventories as required.
- Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel, stock inbound parts to proper storage location, and update information systems.
Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED and up to 12–18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
- Preferred:
Ability to multitask; ability to work independently and as part of a team; basic deductive reasoning; experience in a fast-paced environment; proficient active listening, organizational, and time management skills; self-motivation. - Physical requirements:
ability to lift above 50 lbs, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling; ability to wear PPE; ability to exercise discretion; ability to make time-sensitive decisions. - Other:
Must be able to perform essential duties; may require wearing protective gear.
The expected starting pay range is $20.20 – $30.30. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. Compensation may include annual bonuses and incentives based on profitability or volumes, per company plans. Benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, six weeks of paid maternity leave, two weeks of parental leave, and six paid holidays.
