Job Opportunities

The Town of Westford Public Works Department is seeking four (4) Summer Seasonal Laborers for employment May/early June through August 2026. These positions assist with grounds maintenance, painting, facilities cleaning/maintenance, GIS, and other related duties as assigned.

Available Summer Seasonal Positions in the Department of Public Works (DPW)

Seasonal Highway Dept. Laborer – Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
Seasonal Parks & Cemetery Dept. Laborer – Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
Seasonal GIS Laborer – Water Dept. – Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Seasonal Water Operations Laborer – Water Dept. – Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Hours Per Week

Up to 40 hrs/week;
Weekday work schedule. Hours may be adjusted based on operational needs, and seasonal employees may be asked not to report to work due to weather conditions.

Anticipated Start Date

May/Early June 2026

Anticipated End Date

Late August 2026

Wage

$16.65 per hour. Positions are not benefit eligible.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must submit a driving history from RMV). Must submit and pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.
