The Lead Crew Scheduler is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Scheduling department, including the daily flight scheduling. Oversees the Schedulers, be available for questions, addressing issues that arise, coaching the team to handle unique situations.

• The Crew Scheduler Lead directly supervises all Crew Scheduling functions and personnel.
• Monitors schedulers in the performance of tasks such as maintaining the crew management system, managing daily reserves, daily check lists, managing all IOE flights, telephone procedures and departmental projects.
• Provides guidance to schedulers on necessary crew changes due to sick calls, training requirements or other unforeseen circumstances.
• The Crew Scheduler Lead executes operational plans during irregular operations caused by weather, ATC, maintenance or security disruptions.
• Ensures that schedulers perform assigned tasks in a logical order, reassess priorities consistently and adhere to the approved system control communication process when making all decisions.
• Provides coaching and development opportunities to all schedulers as needed.
• Ensures the Crew Schedulers are receiving the proper training to perform their daily duties in accordance with the applicable FARs and union contracts. The Crew Scheduler Lead works directly with Crew Payroll,
• Training Records, Dispatch, Chief Pilot and Inflight departments to ensure accurate flight hours, training hours, premium pay, leave status, and terminations are reflected in scheduling systems.
