Automotive Key Technician

Key Technician – Flint, MI

We’re seeking a mechanical and electronically inclined individual to work as a Key Technician. In this role you’ll travel an assigned route of dealers and customers, producing duplicate keys and transponder systems that match vehicle originals. You’ll maintain equipment, inventory, submit invoices and work orders, and foster positive professional relationships with clients.

• Produce duplicate keys and transponders for a wide variety of vehicles.
• Maintain and troubleshoot key duplication and transponder programming equipment.
• Manage inventory, submit invoices, and complete work orders accurately.
• Establish and nurture productive relationships with dealers and customers.
• Participate in on‑job training with seasoned Key Technicians to learn advanced techniques.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Strong mechanical and electronic skills.
• Sales and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, key duplication, and transponder programming (preferred).
• Self‑motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Resilient and adaptable to working outside in various weather.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ready to complete our Key Technician training course as needed.

• Base pay of $21.00 per hour with additional $3–$5 incentive for early production.
