Job Description

Under general supervision, following hospital standards and regulatory agency requirements, the Technician performs maintenance activities including construction (routine carpentry, plastering, painting, etc.), electrical, plumbing and mechanical work.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Proven mechanical work experience or completion of a vocational course such as drafting, machine shop, auto repair, construction, electrical or electronic.
• Completion of MECH Senior Certification within four years.
• Physical capability to list medium loads (25–50 pounds), and to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally; and ability to walk and handle materials frequently.
