Two (2) Available Positions (Part-Time)

April-June and/or August-October

JOB SUMMARY:

The Athletic Facility Custodian’s main role will be to ensure the district’s athletic facilities remain in optimal, safe playing condition for practices, games, and events. This role requires the ability to work independently, operate specialized equipment, and interact courteously with the public, coaches, and school staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Michigan driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete tasks independently.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally with students, coaches, school personnel, and the public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure athletic facilities (baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, etc.) remain clean, safe, and presentable to provide a positive experience for all athletes, coaches, and spectators.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including litter and trash removal from fields, fencing, common areas, amenities, and parking lots.
• Perform janitorial and cleaning duties for field facilities, restrooms, and concessions stands.
• Assist in the staging and preparation for major athletic events as requested by the Athletic Facilities Maintenance Manager.

PHYSICAL:

• Work is primarily performed in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
• Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching, carrying, and bending.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 (fifty) pounds.

WAGE
: $15.00/hour
