Job Description
Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including restrooms, showers, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, and other public areas.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on state‑owned vehicles and equipment. Assure quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair, and cleanliness. Provide information and assistance to visitors. May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and transporting materials and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned.
Employment starts April–May through September–October. This position is up to 40 hours per week and up to nine months in duration. School schedules may be accommodated. Housing is not provided.
Qualifications- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a current motor vehicle report
- Must be willing to work outside during hot and inclement weather
- Must be able to lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday
- Knowledge of power tools and hand tools preferred
- Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred
- First Aid and CPR certifications may be required
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
