Ice Centre - Westminster, CO 80020. Position Type:
Part Time. Salary Range: $20.50 - $23.00 Hourly.

Under the direction of the evening supervisor or supervisor on duty, the Zamboni Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient resurfacing of ice rinks, routine maintenance of Zamboni equipment, and monitoring of the compressor room. This role ensures high‑quality ice conditions and supports general rink operations.

• Perform daily maintenance checks on Zamboni machines (oil, antifreeze, blades).
• Resurface ice between rentals to ensure optimal skating conditions.
• Monitor compressor room on an hourly basis.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Zamboni room and rink back areas.
• Provide on-ice equipment such as nets for rentals and programs.
• Conduct basic ice maintenance, including patching, edging, and chipping.
• Assist with rink door repairs and glass replacement.
• Report mechanical or operational issues to supervisors promptly.

• Customer service skills and professionalism.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
• Trained or willing to be trained in Zamboni and ice edger operation.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment.
• Familiarity with ice maintenance practices (flooding, edging, painting).
• Ability to follow a strict resurfacing and maintenance schedule.
• Good judgment and decision‑making under pressure.

• Physically demanding; requires lifting, bending, and working in cold environments.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

• Prior experience in an ice rink or facility maintenance role is preferred but not required.
• Zamboni operation training (preferred, but training provided).
• Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and ice plant operations.
