As a Senior Center Custodian working with Aging and Disabilities leadership, your role will ensure a clean and friendly environment for visitors. Sanitizing tables, assisting visitors, and collecting trash are the daily responsibilities of this role.
Essential Duties- Pick up litter, empty trash cans, and put trash in dumpster.
- Assure that buildings are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly. Tasks include cleaning lavatories, furniture, walls, and flooring using industrial powered equipment.
- Set-up and break down tables and chairs for events at the Senior Centers.
- Secure building and equipment at the end of the shift.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment.
- Assure that walkways are kept clear. Note condition of the building and report issues to supervisor.
- Assist with light kitchen duties as needed.
- Interact with Senior Center members.
- Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Two or more years of related experience
- A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
- Valid driver's license
- National Serv Safe certification (or must obtain within first year of employment)
- CPR, AED, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification (or must obtain within the first six months of employment)
- Requires criminal background check as condition of employment.
- Frequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles.
- Frequent physical activity: standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying, climbing steps, squatting, stooping, and related activities.
