Distinguishing Features of WorkAn employee in this class performs a variety of routine tasks in the custodial maintenance of a County facility. The work is performed in accordance with detailed assignments or an established routine and is subject to review by a supervisor.
Work EnvironmentThese work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT:
Near and midrange vision; grasp; handle; move about; reach; stand; twist; walk; right and left wrist turn; work alone and around others; and outside. FREQUENT:
Lift and carry up to 20 pounds; hear within 5 feet; bend neck; climb stairs; crouch; feel; use fingers; maintain posture; rotate neck; stoop/bend; talk/speak; exposure to weather; chemicals; moving objects; work alone; and work outside. OCCASIONAL:
Lift and carry up to 100 pounds; far vision; field of vision; visual accommodation; hear within 20 feet; balance; climb ladders; kneel; reach above shoulder; recline; squat; static neck position; extreme noise; atmospheric conditions; elevated surfaces; slippery surfaces; traffic; and customer/public contact.
Minimum Qualifications (pass/fail) Considerable experience in custodial work. Demonstrated ability to operate floor maintenance equipment. Ability to read and write. Possession of a valid driver's license, if required.
Experience & Training Rating Points will be awarded for job-related experience and education exceeding the minimum qualifications. Only experience occurring during the ten most recent years will be used in determining this rating. Experience beyond ten years may be included on the application for purposes of meeting minimum qualifications or informing the hiring authority of your complete employment history.
