Field Services Technician (Laborer) –
Weymouth, MA
Clean Harbors seeks a field services technician to perform hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. The position is full time, rotating on call and emergency response, with hourly pay ranging from $20 to $23.

- Engage in strenuous physical labor, lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Use personal protective equipment such as respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection.
- Work in varied temperatures, all weather conditions, and in hazardous atmospheres.
- Operate in confined spaces, low‑clearance areas, and elevated locations such as ladders and scaffolding.
- Assist with field sampling and meter calibration.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and enter/exit trucks, tanks, and containers.
- Work extended periods (>8 hrs).
- Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
- Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste safely.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
- Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
- Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Follow corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Handle site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physical functions required by key responsibilities.
- Availability for on‑call emergency response, including weekends, holidays, and duties that may extend beyond 8 hours to 12‑24 hours.
- Successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical examination.
- Must meet OSHA respiratory protection facial hair standards (29 CFR 1910.34).
- Previous relevant labor experience.
