  Sanitation Technician
• Pay Range: $16 – $19 per hour (plus shift differential)
• Shift: 3 – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Status:

• Adhere to all health and safety policies, GMPs, and wear the required PPE.
• Maintain food quality and safety as per company, customer, or governing body standards (FDA, SQF, etc.).
• Prepare production equipment for cleaning and enforce lock out/tag out procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely, following label instructions.
• Sanitize, foam, scrub, and rinse production equipment, conveyors, drips, rails, floors, drains, ceilings, walls, elevators, stairwells, and auxiliary areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop using manual or electric tools.
• Clean facility building, grounds, parking lots, and bathrooms.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; general office area cleaning.
• Verify sanitation effectiveness through visual inspection, chemical testing, and system printouts.
• Store chemicals and safety equipment properly.
• Ensure minimal downtime during sanitation and pre‑operational inspections.
• Maintain accurate sanitation documentation and complete the Master Sanitation Schedule daily.

• Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical technical data sheets.
• Perform tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
• Operate industrial cleaning machines (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers).
• Identify potential sanitation issues before they occur.

• Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, FDA.
• Attention to detail and meticulousness.
• Time management and self‑discipline.
• Problem‑solving ability.
• Teamwork and willingness to assist co‑workers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a sanitation/janitorial worker in a warehouse environment using mobile cleaning equipment.

• Work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight; overtime as needed.
• Environment is a fast‑paced production plant with mandatory hearing protection, variable temperatures, and mandatory supervision.

• 0% travel anticipated.

• Must stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Must stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs (mandatory). Must lift, carry weight.
• Must walk, drive, and climb or balance on stairs/ladders.
• Must possess visual/sensory attention and excellent hand‑eye coordination.
