Housekeeper
7 am to 3 pm and every other weekend

Join our team at West Chicago Living and Rehab Center LLC, where we strive to provide exceptional care and comfort to our residents. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures and ensure water marks are removed from fixtures
- Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways
- Clean floors, including sweeping, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting in accordance with proper safety precautions
- Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
- Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators
- Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners
- Maintain a clean and organized work/assignment area and properly store equipment, tools, and supplies
- Follow established infection control and standard precaution practices when performing housekeeping procedures
- Use protective clothing/devices when performing tasks involving the handling of infectious waste and/or blood/body fluids
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services and perform routine cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred to another room
- Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the housekeeping supervisor and attend housekeeping department meetings as directed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
