Tasca Chevrolet in Wheeling is looking for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician with Transmission experience and ASE certification to join our award-winning team. Competitive pay and union benefits. Sign on bonus. Local 701 Union.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and General Motors standards
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and infotainment systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of labor and time needed for additional automotive repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology

• GM dealership experience as a journeyman automotive mechanic
• Experienced transmission technician, 5+ years experience
• Must have Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications
• Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining the highest level of customer service (CSI)
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Must have a valid to driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen
