Sourcing Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sourcing Lead to join our dynamic procurement team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing and procurement processes across multiple categories, ensuring the organization secures high-quality materials, services, and supplies at optimal costs. Your expertise will drive supply chain efficiency, foster strong supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers aligned with organizational needs and strategic goals.
• Develop and execute category management strategies to optimize procurement activities across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain functions.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships through performance monitoring, root cause analysis of issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline procurement processes, track purchase orders, and manage materials planning.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) when engaging with government or federal contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning to align sourcing strategies with operational requirements.
• Oversee contract management activities to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and mitigate risks.
• Implement supply chain management best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines.

• Extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Deep understanding of procurement processes including purchasing, materials management, and supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning), production planning, logistics, and quality management principles.
• Familiarity with category management techniques within manufacturing environments.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or supplier performance issues.
• Knowledge of federal regulations such as FAR applicable to government procurement projects.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and pricing analysis.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement across diverse teams globally.
• Proven leadership in managing procurement teams or projects within complex supply chains.
