Work Environment
The position is office-based with an open workstation setup (no cubicles). Standard working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a company-wide lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and the current schedule involves one shift. Training includes HR onboarding and product overview.
Qualifications- 2–5 years of product/project management experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Experience with ERP systems; preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365, but open to candidates with similar ERP backgrounds (e.g., SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, Epicor).
- High school diploma or GED minimum required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills; must be comfortable interacting with engineers, sales, shop staff, and customers.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our engineering department. The successful candidate will manage customer orders and projects from initiation through to delivery. This role requires coordination between various departments, including engineering, sales, shop personnel, and vendors, to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
Responsibilities- Receive and process purchase orders, enter them into the ERP system, and create sales orders.
- Gather technical information from regional sales managers and customers for engineering needs.
- Coordinate with design engineers for project handoff and review.
- Send drawings for approval to sales managers and customers, track approvals, and communicate status.
- Oversee detailing and release of prints to the shop, coordinate with shop staff and outside vendors, and track project progress until shipment.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring organization and attention to detail with paper-based packages.
- Maintain communication with various internal teams and external customers.
- Support training of new hires with current PMs and guide them through processes.
This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
