Inside Sales Representative

Wieland is hiring an Inside Sales Representative responsible for customer contact for daily business processes. The role handles customer requests and complaints, performs order entry and revisions in SAP, issues credit/debit requests, releases material for shipment, and coordinates with Shipping and Production Control. The position is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.

Base salary range: $49,953 - $74,929 annually, with a potential variable compensation bonus based on company performance.

Responsibilities
  • Act professionally as a company representative in dealings with customer inquiries and requests.
  • Enter purchase orders into SAP, ensuring correct pricing on all sales orders.
  • Confirm orders with customers and request/document metal fixations when applicable.
  • Reconcile sales orders per customer requests and inform pertinent departments.
  • Issue credits and debits for quality and financial needs.
  • Maintain pricing and commercial terms and reconcile month‑end reporting.
  • File all associated paperwork in SAP with the associated document.
  • Coordinate shipments with Production Control and Shipping Departments.
  • Respond to customer calls and serve as the communication link between key customers and internal teams.
  • Cross‑train with other Sales Representatives and work with FI to coordinate collection activities.
  • Release material for shipment and inform management of any required changes to Customer Terms Portfolio.
  • Communicate product, price, terms, conditions, and lead times to customers and coordinate import‑orders with colleagues in Germany.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales processes and communication between facilities.
  • Ensure correct products and services are delivered in a timely manner, develop trust relationships with a portfolio of A/B/C customers, and resolve any customer issues and complaints.
  • Support other TS.NA locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or comparable experience in a customer service role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP system knowledge (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience in an office environment with daily computer usage, answering phones, and servicing customer requests.
  • Ability to travel to customers and company locations periodically (approximately 10%).
  • No heavy lifting required.
