Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Completion of healthcare education coursework.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms; prepares for physician visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs.
- Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies.
- Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
- Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
- Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
- Educates patients on follow‑up expectations.
- Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
- Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
- Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
- Performs office administrative tasks: answering phones, taking messages, copying, printing, data entry, assisting with cash deposits and closing duties.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, rotate, stand, and walk for an 8‑12 hour shift.
- Working closely with others.
- Protracted or irregular hours.
- Around biohazards and infectious diseases.
- Hands in water.
- May be required to travel between facilities.
- Ability to use and care for all equipment including printers, embossers, and computers.
