To clean, sanitize, move furniture, hang curtains and any other function as outlined by the Executive Housekeeper.

• Dust mop using mop treatment, spray evenly over mop.
• Clean all countertops using disinfectant soap as directed. Use a clean soft cloth with a gentle stroke.
• Clean refrigerator using disinfectant soap and a soft, clean cloth, rinse well. Clean kitchen cabinets and window sills similarly.
• Wipe fingerprints and spots off elevator doors and in residents’ rooms, especially around light switches. Use Lysol foam if needed.
• Clean nurses' stations with dust mop. Clean all countertops, telephones and window sills with disinfectant soap or cleanser.
• Clean resident rooms first by dust mopping floor. Clean each bed, tray, stand, and chair with disinfectant soap as directed. Clean sinks with soft liquid cleanser, rinse well with hot water. Wipe mirrors with window/glass cleaner.
• Mop halls with dust mop and treatment.
• Clean handrails with disinfectant soap as directed. Vacuum all crevices with small sweeper and disinfectant soap as directed.
• Clean commodes by spraying with commode cleaner, wipe inside with Johnny mop, clean outside with disinfectant soap.
• Dust mop linen rooms with treatment.
• Clean water fountains: clean mouthpiece with disinfectant soap, rinse with hot water; clean tray with stainless steel cleaner after soap.
• Pick up linens in main laundry daily, place on shelves for section.

• Clean kitchen cabinets with disinfectant soap.
• Clean all linen shelves with disinfectant soap.
• Clean bottom half of Venetian blinds with disinfectant soap.
• Dust mop stairwells. Clean window sills, railings, and blinds with soap.
• Scrub shower chairs with disinfectant soap.
• Clean all medicine cabinets with disinfectant soap.
• Clean windows inside as often as possible; co‑workers assist with outside.

• Clean televisions with disinfectant soap on cabinet; use soft cloth on front glass.
• Clean cabinets and doors with disinfectant soap.
• Clean beds with disinfectant soap; wipe mattress with soap.

• Strip rooms completely: clean walls, floor, and all furniture with porter and as directed by Executive Housekeeper.
• Perform all other duties as directed by Executive Housekeeper.

• Expected to be a high school graduate or have no less than 10 years of schooling.

• Use both arms and legs for cleaning all manner of furniture and be able to get on hands and knees to clean floors, beds, and under sinks.
• Lift at least 50lbs; slide furniture such as beds and nightstands on wheels.
• Move mattresses weighing at least 50lbs.
• Have sufficient sight to spot trouble areas and cleaning accordingly; sufficient hearing to hear residents and staff.
• Have sufficient mental capacity to work independently and identify problem areas on own.

• Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.
• Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.
• Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
• Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.
• Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.
• Communicate to leadership upon witnessing positive outcomes of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.
• Support QAPI efforts verbally and non‑verbally (e.g., through actions and attitude), adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.
