Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

Job Summary

The Transportation & Supply Chain Analyst supports the efficient and cost-effective movement of finished goods and raw materials for a private label food manufacturing operation. This role partners closely with transportation providers and internal stakeholders to manage freight costs, optimize carrier networks, and deliver actionable supply chain analytics. The analyst plays a key role in contract support, carrier performance management, and data-driven decision-making across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities Transportation Management
  • Assist in the negotiation and administration of annual contracts with third-party transportation provider.
  • Monitor, review, and approve spot rate requests to ensure market competitiveness and cost control.
  • Manage and maintain internal shuttle carrier contracts, ensuring service levels and cost targets are met.
  • Optimize the internal carrier network to improve efficiency, capacity utilization, and service performance.
  • Ensure positive freight revenue variance through proactive rate management and cost analysis.
Carrier Performance & Compliance
  • Measure, track, and report carrier KPIs and performance metrics, including on-time delivery, cost, service levels, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain carrier scorecards and performance reports.
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership and transportation partners.
Analytics & Supply Chain Support
  • Provide analytical support to the supply chain team with KPI reporting including WFC analysis and production compliance metrics.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance transportation and supply chain dashboards and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics (food manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
  • Working knowledge of freight markets, carrier contracts, and transportation KPIs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, internal teams, and leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in private label food manufacturing or temperature-controlled transportation.
  • Familiarity with TMS and ERP systems.
  • Negotiation support experience with transportation providers.
Universal Pay Verbiage

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $66,000 and $83,000. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, 401K with company match, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
