Wieland is hiring a Preventive Maintenance Technician
. The Preventive Maintenance Technician will be responsible for implementing proactive reliability maintenance, PRM. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for the maintenance of all gas-related equipment (natural gas, nitrogen, hydrogen, mixed gas). He supports the Maintenance Supervisor in processing Maintenance Orders in SAP and sourcing for needed spare parts.

This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site

Hourly Pay Range
: $28 - $43/hr plus 3rd shift differential

Work Schedule
: 3rd shift- 10 PM - 6 AM

• Preventive Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
• Conduct PRM measurement and derive improvement measures from it.
• Ensure all gas-related equipment (natural gas, nitrogen, hydrogen, oven heating, etc.) is in good condition.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor Processing Maintenance Work Orders through SAP PM.
• Support Maintenance Department sourcing for needed spare parts (on technical side).
• Carry out all jobs according to applicable standards, like OSHA, ANSI.
• Keep personal workspace clean and tidy at all times.
• Report any suspicious activity or strangers on company property.
• Maintain a safe work environment and perform all actions with safety for self and coworkers in mind.
• Report all incidents immediately (including near-miss situations).
• Comply with all environmental standards and policies.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Knowledge or experience in PRM (e.g., vibration measurement, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic leak detection) is an added plus.
• Basic knowledge in SAP modules PM and MM is an added plus.
• Advanced English language skills, both in speaking and writing, are mandatory.
• Ability to work under pressure and high stress levels required.
• Good computer and data entry skills.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience in maintaining gas-related equipment.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Previous exposure to PRM is an added plus.
• Previous experience in heavy metal or similar manufacturing is beneficial.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include safety glasses, protective jacket, ear protection.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
