Freezer Technician

Essential Functions

• Pull finished products from the production conveyor belt and stack on pallets properly.
• Check all products to ensure proper coding.
• Ensure the proper amount of product is neatly stacked on pallets and all boxes on the pallet meet quality standards.
• Ensure organization in the warehouse using the FIFO method.
• Wrap palletized product with plastic stretch wrap.
• Print and post proper tags on all palletized products.
• Enter inventory into appropriate inventory tracking systems.
• Locate all palletized product in the warehouse for picking.
• Pick palletized product for shipping.
• Communicate with operations to ensure the correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.
• Assist with unloading all raw materials.
• Pick, ship, and receive raw and finished goods.
• Assess production to ensure adequate supplies to operate efficiently.
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving shipments of raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and Ziegenfelder environmental, health, and safety directives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to operate electrically powered forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Must be able to work in cold temperatures.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Possesses visual acuity to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• May need to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
• May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift.

Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32°F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment. May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment.

Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour.

Schedule:

40 hours per week with consecutive set days off. Benefits begin on the first day after 60 days of employment, including 401(k) with company matching and paid holidays.
