- Why This Role Exists

This role exists to support  ongoing production demand and growth  at Viant Medical’s Wheeling, IL facility. CNC Machinists play a critical role in producing  high-precision medical device components , where consistency, accuracy, and quality directly impact patient outcomes.

- The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milles, lathes, or swiss machines for precision production

Load parts, monitor cycles, and make offset adjustments as needed

Inspect parts using blueprints, gauges, and precision measuring tools

Hold tight tolerances required for medical device manufacturing

Troubleshoot machining issues and correct problems to maintain quality

Deburr, buff, and finish parts to print specifications

Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned machines

Follow safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards

- Machines, Controls & Inspection

You’ll work with CNC equipment and inspection tools such as:

Machines:

Star and Citizen CNC Swiss Machines

Multi-axis CNC mills and lathes

Controls:  Fanuc / Haas-style controls (typical)

Inspection Tools:  Calipers, micrometers, gauges, blueprint & GD&T interpretation

- What We’re Looking For

Required:

2+ years of CNC machining experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances

Experience inspecting parts and maintaining dimensional accuracy

Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required):

Experience in medical device manufacturing

Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices

Experience with both CNC mills and lathes

Pay:  $25.00 – $25.00/hour (DOE)
Shift Premium:  +10% for 2nd shift or 3rd shift
