Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for independently and collaboratively troubleshoot industrial electromechanical systems and machinery, operating within the maintenance department. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay RangeHourly Pay Range
: $32.00-$43.00/hour

: 1st Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm M-F

MaintenanceTechnician Responsibilities:
- Interface with machine operators to understand and determine the cause of machine issues
- Ensure operation of machinery and other production equipment by completing preventive maintenance
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. Must be able to supply own stocked toolbox
- Able to diagnose defective mechanical parts and disassemble the components for repair using hoists, forklifts, and other equipment
- Fabricate and/or repair machine parts using equipment such as measuring devices, mills, lathes, drill presses, and welders
- Observe all OSHA and NFPA regulations and wear proper personal protective equipment
- Coordinate with all departments, supervisor, and department manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Degree in Mechatronics or Automation is preferred
- Three years of experience working in industrial facilities required
- Experience maintaining or repairing industrial automated manufacturing equipment (cylinder rebuilds, bearing replacement, gearbox disassembly, etc.)
- Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and drawings
- Familiarity with troubleshooting AC and DC voltage. Familiarity with both single and three phase electrical systems
- Functional knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot SCADA, VFD, servo motors, drives, and PLCs
- Functional knowledge of and experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems using tools such as digital multimeters, digital thermographers, vibration analyzers, ultrasonic leak detectors, etc.
- Good computer and data entry skills. Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multitask multiple projects simultaneously
