CNC Milling Operator III Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of precision CNC milling experience
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges
- Ability to make controlled offset adjustments and perform tooling changes accurately
- Solid communication skills across team and supervisory levels
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to comply with U.S. export control regulations without employer-sponsored authorization
CNC Milling Operator III Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience operating across multiple axis configurations
CNC Milling Operator III Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate 3-axis, 4-axis, horizontal, and 5-axis CNC milling machines on established jobs
- Perform wear offset adjustments and tooling changes following approved procedures
- Identify, replace, and document worn or broken tooling as needed
- Inspect parts using precision measurement tools for accuracy and quality
- Assist with fixture installation, tool loading, part proving, and first-piece preparation
- Troubleshoot issues such as tool wear, surface finish, dimensional variation, and chip evacuation
- Record job data, labor time, and quality information in the ERP system
- Support and train less experienced CNC operators in best practices and inspection techniques
