Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless production operations by supplying materials to assembly lines.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary items and coordinate with production staff to keep the line running efficiently.
- Efficiency and attention to detail are crucial for line feeders.
- Proper alignment and positioning of items on the line maximize overall efficiency.
- Work closely with machine operators. They assist in operating machinery, communicate with production supervisors about any issues, and help avoid mechanical damage to products.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Contribute to maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
- Unload boxes, stack materials, and ensure all necessary items are ready for assembly.
- Feeders take care to avoid mechanical damage to products during handling and transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Experience handling electric pallet jacks.
Job Requirements:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Alert management about potential hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Proven experience as a Line Feeder, Production Worker, or in a similar role.
- A keen eye for precision and quality.
- Commitment to following health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Perform tasks efficiently to meet production targets.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
Technical Capacity
- Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.
- Good organizational skills required.
- Flexibility.
Physical Demands
- The work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles. Frequencies:
Occasional (1-33%);
Frequent (34-66%);
Constant (67-100%) - Lifting Demands:
Lift up to waist Rarely 5 pounds - Lift on up to shoulder Rarely 5 pounds
- Lift on up to overhead Rarely 5 pounds
- Carry on up to 25 feet Rarely 5 pounds
- Carry upstairs Rarely 5 pounds
Expected Hours of Work
- Five days' workweek schedule, with one weekend day mandatory if scheduled prior.
- Occasionally 6-day workweek based on production demand.
Pay & Benefits
The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The starting hourly rate is $19.50/hr this position may also be eligible for overtime pay and shift differentials.
