CNC Lathe Machinist (1st & 3rd Shift)

Shift Hours and Compensation

1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
3rd shift: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Compensation: $26.00–$35.00 per hour with a 10% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Actual pay is based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job‑related factors.

Position Summary

The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. Strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while ensuring quality and efficiency are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Setup and operate Swiss CNC machines according to job specifications.
  • Load raw materials and verify tooling alignment and offsets.
  • Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Make necessary program edits and adjustments to maintain tolerances.
  • Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
  • Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
  • Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of machine shop experience, including a minimum of 2 years of CNC set‑up experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints and work with small precision parts to close tolerances.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
