Wieland is hiring an Inside Sales Representative. The role is responsible for daily customer contact, order entry, SAP revisions, handling customer requests and complaints, issuing credits/debits, coordinating shipments with Shipping and Production Control, and supporting new sales processes. This position is fully on‑site in Wheeling, IL.

Base Salary Range: $49,953–$74,929

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based on company performance within the fiscal year.

Responsibilities
  • Act professionally as the company representative in dealings with customer inquiries and requests.
  • Enter purchase orders into SAP, ensuring correct pricing on all sales orders.
  • Confirm orders with customers.
  • Request and document metal fixations when applicable.
  • Revise sales orders per customer requests and inform pertinent departments.
  • Issue credits and debits for quality and financial needs.
  • Maintain pricing and commercial terms.
  • Reconcile month‑end reporting.
  • File all associated paperwork in SAP.
  • Coordinate shipments with Production Control and Shipping Departments.
  • Coordinate with production staff.
  • Answer incoming calls from customers.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Cross‑train with other Sales Representatives to develop a working knowledge of all customer accounts.
  • Work with FI to coordinate collection activities and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Release material for shipment.
  • Inform the Inside Sales Manager/Supervisor of any needed changes to the Customer Terms Portfolio.
  • Inform the Inside Sales Manager/Supervisor of any part numbers that do not have pricing entered into SAP.
  • Communicate with customers about products, prices, terms & conditions, and lead times.
  • Coordinate import orders with colleagues in Germany.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales processes and communication between facilities.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Develop trust relationships with A/B/C customers.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Support other TS.NA locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree or comparable experience in a customer service role.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate information both verbally and in written form.
  • Office environment; no heavy lifting required.
  • Daily activities involve extended periods of sitting at a desk, using computer software, answering phones, and servicing customer requests.
  • Daily interaction with a variety of personalities requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to travel to customers and other company locations periodically (estimated 10%).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP system knowledge and experience preferred.
