About the Job
You are driven, competitive, and energized by the challenge of opening doors and winning business. As a Business Development Representative you will own the full sales cycle. You'll play a key role in growing the company's client base, with a strong focus on owner‑direct sales and long‑term recurring revenue.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new client opportunities through outbound sales activities including cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry contacts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) scopes of work.
- Develop and submit bid proposals and RFP responses within customer deadlines, while maintaining up-to-date CRM records of leads, bids, and client interactions.
- Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and operations teams to ensure estimates align with scope and client expectations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Sales background in a technical or specialty trade, particularly within HVAC, mechanical contracting, TAB, or similar industries, is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, with a focus on owner‑direct sales and recurring revenue.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving new business.
- Strong ability to build relationships with key decision‑makers and close contracts.
- Experience in construction estimating with the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; self‑motivated and results‑driven.
