What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West StarWhether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same. You Will Be Essential To Many Functions Including- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
