Job Summary
R+L Carriers is looking for a full‑time Forklift Operator at our Wheeling, IL service center. The role involves moving freight of up to 53‑foot trailers in and out of enclosed trailers on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
Work ScheduleFull‑time. Monday shift starts at 12:00 am;
Tuesday–Friday shifts start at 2:00 am. Hours are 8–10 per day.
Starting pay is $25.94 per hour. PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching; paid vacation and holidays; and lodging at exclusive employee resorts in Daytona Beach, FL;
Big Bear Lake, CA;
Pigeon Forge, TN; and Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
Operate a forklift to move freight safely onto and off of 53‑foot trailers on a roofed dock. Read manifests and computer displays. Maintain safe operation in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications- Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Ability to read manifests.
- Ability to read/interact with a computer display.
- Forklift experience.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Some LTL experience.
