Service Technician in Wheeling

Mancan, in partnership with a local automobile dealership, is searching for a Service Technician. We are looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join a fast-paced automotive service team. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience or a strong interest in vehicle maintenance and repair.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including oil changes, fluid services, and part replacements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using basic diagnostic tools and equipment
• Inspect vehicles and identify necessary repairs or maintenance needs
• Rotate, balance, and replace tires as needed
• Check, top off, and replace fluids including brake, transmission, coolant, and windshield washer fluids
• Complete minor to moderate repairs such as brakes, belts, hoses, and battery replacements
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings with supervisors or service advisors
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Follow all dealership and safety procedures
• Provide professional and courteous customer service when needed

• Previous automotive technician or service technician experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance, and repair procedures
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Certifications (ASE or similar) are a plus but not required

• Full‑time position Monday through Friday 8a‑5p (schedule may vary based on dealership hours)
• Pay based on experience $18‑$32 per hour
