Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing equipment and processes related to the manufacturing of medical devices. You will ensure maintenance performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met through specialized software. Additionally, you will conduct water treatment and monitor waste discharge to comply with federal and state regulations while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in your work area according to the 6S program.

Responsibilities
  • Perform minor and major repairs to the building, systems, and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler systems, and grounds maintenance.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Maintain inventories and order materials as needed.
  • Safely operate a wide variety of precision hand and power tools related to field and shop work.
  • Assist with industrial hygiene studies to ensure employee safety.
  • Complete in-house calibration, maintain logs, and record data for compliance with GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical systems for industrial machinery maintenance, repair, and improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Read and understand diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Work with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Fabricate basic parts using hand tools and power machine tools.
  • Design control systems and build control panels for specialty equipment.
  • Demonstrate basic welding knowledge and troubleshoot electrical control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and perform software changes.
  • Work from prints, diagrams, and instructions for emergency and scheduled repairs.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, plumbing, and building trades.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing machines and systems.
  • Ability to work closely with the health and safety department.
  • Experience with hand tools, machinist tools, meters, gauges, precision measuring instruments, and electrical test equipment.
  • Familiarity with diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, metals, cleaning agents, lubricants, and chemicals.

  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
