The Opportunity

As G550 Captain, you will have overall responsibility for the safe operation of each flight, from meticulous preflight planning to post-flight documentation. This is a dynamic, on-call role suited to a trusted aviation professional who thrives in a high-standard, client-oriented environment.

• Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism on every flight.
• Review maintenance status and airworthiness; verify required documents are onboard.
• Conduct thorough preflight inspections per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan and brief each flight, checking weather, NOTAMs, and facilities along the route, destination, and alternates.
• Operate in full compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable FARs.
• Safeguard passengers, crew, and aircraft while delivering a refined, service-first client experience.
• Complete all trip reports and paperwork accurately and promptly per current procedures.
• Maintain currency, including annual ICAO international procedures training.

• Experience: 3,000 hours total time; 1,500 hours PIC; 1,500 hours multi-engine; 500 hours multi-engine PIC; 500 hours turbojet; 250 hours instrument.
• Type Rating: Gulfstream G550 or comparable aircraft.
• Medical: First-class medical.
• Training: Ability to complete annual ICAO international procedures training.
• Availability: Able to work on an on-call basis.
• Proximity: Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KPWK (Wheeling, IL) or willingness to relocate.
